Terms Of Service

General

This agreement covers your use of the Zimmerman Analytic Platform (“ZAP,” the “Platform”). This Platform is intended for members of the Zimmerman Program on the Biology of Von Willebrand Disease (“Zimmerman Program”). Persons not involved in the Zimmerman Program are not permitted to use the Platform.

You agree that by accessing the Platform, you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by all of these Terms of Service (“Terms”). We reserve the right to change or modify these Terms at any time and for any reason. Notice of changes will be provided upon login, at which time you will be prompted to agree to the new Terms.

Definitions

  • The term “Clinical Data” includes, but is not limited to, patient information, lab results, BAT scores and subscores, sample inventory, study information, and collection methods.
  • The term “Analysis Data” includes, but is not limited to, results data generated by Core B analysts, analysis design information, high-level findings, and patient-specific genomic data.
  • The term “Platform Data” includes, but is not limited to, Clinical Data, Analysis Data, user account data, analysis and information requests and correspondence, feature suggestions, and any data necessary to connect data or otherwise facilitate the functioning of the Platform.

Access

To access the protected portion (Dashboard) of the Platform, you must have a unique user account. You agree to keep your password confidential and will be responsible for all your account and password use. All activity associated with your account may be logged. If your account credentials have been compromised, you agree to notify the ZAP administration team immediately.

  1. Analysis Requests will be visible to other users on the Platform and associated with your name and project.
  2. You agree to respect and abide by laws and comply with policies.
  3. You agree only to access it when necessary for Zimmerman's research.
  4. All uploaded data/files are saved in a WashU cloud-based database server and WashU RIS Data Storage Platform.
  5. You agree to only access via a personal account. Never share credentials.
  6. All actions of the personal account will be logged into the account associated with the name.
  7. You will not upload malicious files.
  8. The ZAP Platform is owned by the Department of Pediatrics at Washington University.
  9. You will not use it for any purpose other than the intended purpose, will not reverse-engineer
  10. You agree to notify the ZAP administration team if any breach occurs.
  11. Inappropriate use/disclosure may cause harm and result in loss of access.
  12. You will promptly notify the administration team to facilitate the account closure if you no longer need access to the service.


Notice Regarding Processing of Personal Data and Content

This Notice is specific to the processing of the personal data of individuals who are protected by the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”)

  • When you sign up to access the Zimmerman Analytic Platform (ZAP), we will ask you to provide your name, email, and other personal data to confirm your identity and to enable your access to the platform. Your data is processed in accordance with GDPR Art 6(1)(b) and is necessary to provide you with your requested access to the platform.
  • Personal data you provide to WashU (the “data controller”) or any of its contractors as a result of your use of ZAP will be processed by WashU in accordance with its policies, the GDPR and other applicable laws.
  • Processing of your personal data will be performed by ZAP administrator(s) who have a “need to know” in connection with your ZAP account and use of ZAP, and the relevant personal data will be processed solely for the purposes described above.
